February 16, 2010

Synopsis

The film will tell the story of a young Melbourne police officer, Constable Shane Cooper who relocates to the small high country town with his pregnant wife in the hope of starting a new family.

However, news of a prison break in Melbourne sends the local law enforcement officers into a panic and, according to Patrick Hughes, the young Constable’s first day on duty goes from bad to worse when convicted murderer Jimmy Conway, serving life behind bars, returns to the town seeking revenge.

Now caught in the middle of what quickly becomes a horrifying blood bath, Cooper will be forced to take the law into his own hands if he is to survive.

“What follows unfolds over the course of a single day and the story is told with explosive action and chilling violence.”

Warm Welcome for Movie Shoot in Omeo in the bitter depths of winter

What a time to make a movie.... in the bitterly cold depths of an alpine winter in far north east Gippsland in Victoria, Australia.

But the locals greeted the large trucks, close knit crew with their movie making gear with great warmth and enthusiasm.

Typical of the town they took the visit in their casual stride at a town meeting in the local hall where film-maker Patick Hughes outlined the grisly story and invited local people to take part in a chance to share in fifteen minutes of fame.

In the movie?

When the movie is released in Australia, locals are keen to recognise familiar haunts and familar faces.
