The Web Site Workflow

To establish a web-site there are a series of steps to go through:

  1. Discuss the purpose and style of the site
  2. Identify the users of the site
  3. Discuss the structure of the site and the things that will be included on each page
  4. Collect images and information to be included
  5. Create any graphics needed for the site
  6. Build the site in a web designing program
  7. Review the design with the owners
  8. Establish a host for the site and register a URL
  9. Upload the site to the host
  10. Test the site using different web browsers and computers
  11. Monitor usage of the site
  12. Manage changes to the site

It is a good idea to look at a wide variety of sites to get ideas about design and content. There are certain legal obligations that need to be met when considering what information is presented on a site.
